temporary Bounds - Creating and Assigning Filters

Filters are setup and customization tool that can be used in a template and a Revit project.
The correct procedure for working with filters is:
  • Create a filter name
  • Assign a category of objects
  • Assign a filter criteria
  • Incorporate visibilities filter to the template or graphic display
  • Define visibility graphical objects
For example, let's create a filter to display different colors of the walls according to fire resistance.
  • Within the VIEW tab, panel Graphics, select the Filters icon.

  • NEW Select the icon, and place name to the filter. In this case placed "Resist 1hr FGO"





  • Wall Select the category that is objects that you will be using this filter.


  • In the right sector is defined the search criteria.
be filtered according to FIRE RATING, being EQUALS to 1hr.
  • Create another filter called Resist FGO 2hr, for the same category with a search criterion 2hr .

  • properties in the plan view where you want to view these properties, select the dialog box Visibilities graphics (VG 8 )
  • Click the ADD button, and within the dialog box, select the two filters.


  • Click the Override button CUT sector, and select a color for line and pattern and type of pattern for each filter.


  • OK to close the box dialogue and implement the new visibility.
If the walls have charged the property of fire resistance is displayed using the colors used in the filters.
